For multi-tools, T&P's stuff is usually solid, often re-brands of good quality manufacturers without the super high markup. 5.11 is great, but you pay for the name too. If you're comparing specific models, it really depends.

I returned a backpack a while back, it was pretty straightforward. Just make sure it's in new condition and you do it within their window, I think it was 30 days. Got my money back no problem.
